How to purchase
Pilotta Monumental Complex
Admission to the Pilotta Monumental Complex is possible either by purchasing your ticket directly at the ticket office of the museum, open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or by purchasing it online at https://pilotta.ticka.it/.
Please note that if you purchased a reduced or free ticket online, you must bring with you and show, upon request by staff at the ticket office or at the entrance staircase, the documentation entitling you to the discount.
Before entering the museum area, you will need to leave bulky bags, backpacks, trolleys and umbrellas at the ticket office.
To facilitate the validation of tickets purchased online by reception staff, visitors are kindly requested to present a printout of their booking or the PDF ticket, received by email, open and visible on their device.
Schools and groups must book in advance by writing to cm-pil.scuole@cultura.gov.it or by calling the museum switchboard (+39 0521 233617).
During the #Domenicalmuseo initiative, on the first Sunday of every month, or on days when admission is free, it will still be necessary to collect a free ticket and leave any large bags, backpacks and umbrellas at the ticket office before entering the Complex. Tickets cannot be purchased online for these days.

Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist
Access to the Antica Spezieria di San Giovanni Evangelista is from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (last admission at 12:30 pm) and from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm (last admission at 6:30 pm). Starting April 1, 2026, access to the Antica Spezieria will no longer be scanned in time slots. However, the maximum capacity of 15 visitors at a time remains unchanged. Therefore, in the event of a large influx of visitors, visitors will be required to wait for their turn, based on priority.
The Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist has a ticket office on site that only accepts POS payments.
Tickets, including time slot reservations, can also be purchased at the ticket office of the Pilotta Monumental Complex during opening hours or in advance online on the Ticka platform at https://pilotta.ticka.it/.

Torrechiara Castle
Tickets to Torrechiara Castle can be purchased directly at the castle ticket office or in advance online at https://pilotta.ticka.it/.
The ticket office always closes 30 minutes before the Castle closing time.
Please note that if you purchase a reduced or free ticket online, you must bring with you and show the staff, upon request, the documentation that entitles you to the discount.
Advance booking is compulsory for groups and schools every day and, on Sundays and public holidays, at least 10 days in advance.

Archaeological area of Veleia
Tickets to the archaeological site can be purchased at the ticket office on site or online at https://pilotta.ticka.it/.
The ticket office always closes 30 minutes before the archaeological site closes.
Please note that if you have purchased a reduced or free ticket online, you must bring with you and show the staff, upon request, the documentation that entitles you to the discount.

Facilitated Admission
From July 5th, 2025, visitors accompanied only by an authorised guide will be able to access the open spaces of the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta from 6.00 p.m. until closing time at a reduced rate of 5.00 euro.
The ticket can be purchased exclusively at the ticket office of the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm.
It is specified that all categories that enjoy the concessions for entry to state cultural sites provided for by the legislation and available on the page: https://www.cultura.gov.it/agevolazioni have the right to free entry to the spaces of the Pilotta Monumental Complex.
