Local loan
This service is available to anyone who is at least eighteen years of age and is resident or domiciled in Parma and its province and, under certain conditions, also citizens of other regions, EU and non-EU countries (see Regulations). The loan has a maximum duration of 30 days and a document already on loan can be reserved by another user. In the absence of reservations, the loan can be extended for another 30 days. A maximum of 3 books can be borrowed. The following are excluded from the loan:
- publications prior to 1950;
- volumes that are seriously damaged, incomplete or in poor binding condition (volumes in a precarious state of conservation;
- the works placed in the consultation room;
- art volumes with plates outside the text or if they prevail over the text;
- the volumes of local history and local bibliography;
- periodicals, newspapers, official documents, miscellanies bound in volumes, doctoral theses, material treated in groups;
- volumes with shelfmarks Dir., Bibl., Bibl. Stampe, Bibl. Ebr., Bibl. Tecn., Biblioteca teatrale Ferrarini;
- publications with particular historical-editorial characteristics;
- microfilms and microfiches.
Provincial loan
The Palatina Library adheres to the Provincial Interlibrary Loan organized by the Province of Parma which concerns exclusively the materials owned and requested from the libraries listed at this link: https://biblioteche.parma.it/SebinaOpac/article/le-biblioteche/biblioteche
Interlibrary loan and document delivery
The Library provides a national and international interlibrary loan service and document delivery in compliance with the legislation on copyright and copyright. The services are paid. The cost for the local user varies according to the conditions set by the library from which the volumes or copies are requested. The times and methods of use of the works provided are established by the lending library. The loan has a duration of 30 days, excluding the time necessary for shipping the documents and unless otherwise indicated by the lending library, to which any requests for extension must be forwarded.
