Pilotta Monumental Complex
The Pilotta Monumental Complex includes the following institutions: Archaeological Museum, Farnese Theatre, National Gallery, Palatine Library and Bodoni Museum.

The North Galleries, comprising the sections The Flemish, 1200–1500, Art in Parma, 1500–1600, Emilian Art 1500–1600, The Caravaggesque in Emilia, Painting of the Spanish Empire, Art in Lombardy and Central Italy 1600–1700, Sacred Art in Emilia 1600–1700, Genoese 1600–1700, Still Life and Boselli, The Grand Tour, Venetian Painting 1600–1700, Leaders and Battles, and Ducal Portraiture open at 10:30 a.m.

Ancient apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist
Tuesday to Sunday

The maximum capacity of the Ancient Apothecary’s rooms is 15 visitors at a time; therefore, in the event of a large crowd, visitors will need to wait their turn to enter on a first-come, first-served basis, and their visit inside the Apothecary may last no longer than 30 minutes.
On the first Sunday of every month, as part of the “Sunday at the Museum” initiative, the Antica Spezieria will be open only from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (last admission at 6:30 PM)

Schools
For school visits to the Pilotta Monumental Complex, bookings must be made by emailing cm-pil.scuole@cultura.gov.it, stating the date of the visit, estimated time of arrival, number of students and teachers, and which parts of the Complex you intend to visit (Farnese Theatre, National Gallery, Archaeological Museum, Palatine Library, Bodoni Museum).
The booking guarantees access to the requested venues but does not include a guided tour.
For access to the Gallery, Library, Archaeological Museum and Bodoni Museum groups may consist of a maximum of 30 people: if the group exceeds this number, it will be necessary to split into multiple groups.
Classes arriving without a reservation will not be guaranteed access and may be admitted only if space is available.
Visits during extraordinary hours
Any visits to be made outside of the regular opening hours of the Pilotta museums must be agreed with the administration by sending a written request to the email address: cm-pil@cultura.gov.it
