The Monumental Complex of the Pilotta, the Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist, the Torrechiara Castle and the Archaeological Area of Veleia participate in Domenica al museo, the initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture which, every first Sunday of the month, makes state museums, archaeological parks and places of culture accessible for free.
On Sunday October, 4th 2026, free access to the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta and the institutes belonging to it will be possible according to the following times:
- Monumental Complex of the Pilotta: from 9 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission at 6.00 p.m.)
Please note that some areas of the Complex will be closed and other will have limited opening hours. For more information, please consult the list and timetable of guaranteed routes within the Complex. - Palatina Library – Domeniche di Carta 2026 – special opening from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. – Programme under definition
- Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist: from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission at 6.30 p.m.)
Please be informed that, starting from 5:30 PM, access to the Spezieria will be exclusively reserved for those who have booked for the event “Memoria olfattiva. Ciò che resta nell’aria“, as part of the 20th edition of the festival Il Rumore del lutto.
- Torrechiara Castle: from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (last admission at 4.30 p.m.)
- Archaeological Area of Veleia (PC): from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (last admission at 4.00 p.m.)
