Japanese theatre tradition comes to Parma with a unique show. Alongside the classic play SHŌJŌ, the Yamamoto Noh Theatre – a historic Noh theatre school – presents, together with Sachiko Nakajima’s multicultural Kurage Jazz Band, a contemporary performance inspired by Leonardo da Vinci.
The initiative, organised by the Yamamoto Noh Theatre Foundation, under the patronage of the Consulate-General of Japan in Milan and with the support of the Agency for Cultural Affairs in Tokyo (Japanese Ministry of Culture), marks the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Italy. It explores the friendship between the two countries through the performing arts, promoting lasting cultural partnerships.
