Starting from Tuesday, 8 September 2026, the artworksLamentation over the Dead Christ (c. 1524) by Antonio Allegri, known as Correggio, and Virgin Assumed into Glory with Detail of the Balustrade and Apostles, a watercolor on paper by Giovan Battista Callegari, Carlo Raimondi, and Paolo Toschi, will be temporarily unavailable to visitors.
The two works will be exhibited in Dresden as part of the exhibition“Correggio. Movingly Human”, organized by the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden and hosted at the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister from 19 September 2026 to 10 January 2027
