On Monday, June 1st 2026, the Pilotta Monumental Complex, the Ancient Apothecary of St. John the Evangelist, Torrechiara Castle and the Archaeological Area of Veleia will be extraordinary open according to normal procedures and fees.
♦ Monumental Complex of the Pilotta: from 9 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission at 6.00 p.m.)
Please note that some areas of the Complex may be closed or have limited opening hours.
♦ Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist: from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. (last admission at 12.30 p.m.) and from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission at 6.30 p.m.)
NB: Access to the Spezieria is restricted: the maximum capacity is 15 people at a time.
♦ Torrechiara Castle: from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. (last admission at 2.30 p.m.)
♦ Archaeological Area of Veleia: from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (last admission at 4.00 p.m.)
Tuesday, June 2nd
To celebrate the 80th Republic Day, the Pilotta Monumental Complex, the Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist, Torrechiara Castle and the Veleia Archaeological Site will be open to the public free of charge.

from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm (last admission and ticket office closes at 6.00 pm)

♦ Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist
from 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm (last admission at 6.30 pm)
Please note that access to the Apothecary is restricted: the maximum capacity is 15 people at any one time.
♦ Torrechiara Castle
from 11.00 to 5.00 p.m. (last admission and last ticket issue at 4.30 p.m.)
♦ Veleia Archaeological Site
from 11.00 to 6.30 p.m. (last admission and last ticket issue at 6.00 p.m.)

Wednesday June, 3rd
The Pilotta Monumental Complex, the Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist, Torrechiara Castle and the Veleia Archaeological Site (PC) will be closed for their weekly rest day, following the special opening on Monday 1 June 2026.
Palatina Library Services
Palatina library services will be suspended only on 2 June, whilst they will operate as normal on other days. The music section will observe its usual opening hours on Monday.
