Free admission for all women

The event

On International Women’s Day the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta, the Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist, the Torrechiara Castle and the Archaeological Area of Veleia join the initiative of the Ministry of Culture by offering free admission to all women on Sunday 8th March 2026 during the usual opening hours.

Monumental Complex of the Pilotta: from 9 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission and last ticket issue at 6.00 p.m.)

Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist: from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission at 6.30 p.m.)
NB: Reservations required for 30-minute time slots and maximum capacity of 15 visitors per slot.

Torrechiara Castle: from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (last admission and ticket issue 2.30 p.m.)

Archaeological Area of Veleia: from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (last admission and ticket issue at 4:00 p.m.)

Information

For safety reasons, in the event of large crowds, access to the Pilotta Complex may be suspended for a few minutes.

Tickets

Free entry for all women

Pilotta Monumental Complex
It’s necessary to collect the free ticket and deposit any bulky bags, backpacks and umbrellas at the ticket office, before entering the Complex.
Reservations are not required.

Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist
It’s necessary to collect the free entrance ticket, according to the available time slots.

Torrechiara Castle
It’s necessary to collect the free ticket at the ticket office of the Castle before entering

Archaeological Area of Veleia
It’s necessary to collect the free ticket at the ticket office of the Archaeological Area before entering

For all other visitors, tickets will follow the usual fares and can be purchased at physical ticket offices Please note that the ticket office of the Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist only accept payment by card.
