The Monumental Complex of the Pilotta, the Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist, the Torrechiara Castle and the Archaeological Area of Veleia participate in Domenica al museo, the initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture which, every first Sunday of the month, makes state museums, archaeological parks and places of culture accessible for free.
On Sunday January, 4th 2026, free access to the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta and the institutes belonging to it will be possible according to the following times:
- Monumental Complex of the Pilotta: from 9 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission at 6.00 p.m.)
Please note that some areas of the Complex may be closed or have limited opening hours. For more information, please consult the list and timetable of guaranteed routes within the Complex. - Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist: from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission at 6.30 p.m.)
NB: Access to the Spezieria is restricted: the maximum capacity is 15 people at a time. - Torrechiara Castle: from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (last admission at 4.30 p.m.)
- Archaeological Area of Veleia: from 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (last admission at 4.00 p.m.)
