Paper Sunday - A Sunday dedicated to promoting the heritage preserved in the Palatine Library

The event

Domenica di Carta (Paper Sunday) returns on Sunday, October 12, 2025, an initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture to highlight the immense and precious heritage preserved in the State Archives and Libraries.

Programme

10.30 am and 4.30 pm – Palatine Library
Guided tours, led by internal staff, of the lesser-known areas of the Palatine Library.
11.30 a.m. – Maria Luigia Hall
Presentation of the book La ferita che svela: l’arte invisibile di Lucio Fontana (The wound that reveals: the invisible art of Lucio Fontana), by Prof. Cristina Casero, Professor of History of Photography and Contemporary Art History at the University of Parma.The event is part of the festival Il Rumore del lutto

Information

The Palatine Library will be open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Petitot Gallery will follow the opening hours of the Pilotta Monumental Complex, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Tickets

Free ticket for visiting the Palatine Library only.
During Paper Sundays, visitors who purchase a standard ticket to visit the entire complex will also have access to the Maria Luigia Hall, which is not normally included in the tour.
