Extraordinary opening with free admission

The event

On Monady, June 2nd, 2025, in celebration of the Italian Republic Day, admission to all state cultural sites will be free of charge.

The institutes will be open at the following times.

The Monumental Complex of the Pilotta: from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last entrance and ticket office closure at 6 p.m.)
Ancient Pharmacy of St John the Evangelist: from 9 am to 1 pm (last shift: 12.30 pm); from 3 pm to 7 pm (last shift: 6.30 pm)
Torrechiara Castle: from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last admission and ticket office closing at 4.30 p.m.)

Reservation compulsory on public holidays. To book call +39 0521 355255 operating from Tuesday to Friday from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm and on Saturdays from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Archaeological area of Veleia (PC): from 11.00 am to 6.30 pm (last entrance and ticket office closure at 6 p.m).

Information

For security reasons, access to the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta may be suspended for a few minutes in the event of a large crowd.

Visitors are informed that on the occasion of the first concert of the third edition of the Festival Farnese, the Farnese Theatre will close at 18.30.

On Wednesday June, 4th 2025 all institutes will be closed for weekly rest.

Monumental Complex of the Pilotta
You will still need to collect your free ticket and deposit any bulky bags, backpacks and umbrellas at the ticket office before entering the Complex.
Reservations are not necessary.

Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist
Free tickets will be distributed directly at the Spezieria. Access will be limited to a maximum of 15 people at the same time.

Torrechiara Castle
You will still need to collect your free ticketat the ticket office of the Castle.
For access to the Torrechiara Castle, booking is compulsory by calling +39 0521 355255 operating from Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Archaeological Area of Roman Veleia
You will still need to collect your free ticket at the ticket office of the Archaeological Area

For the first Sunday of the month, it is not possible to purchase tickets online.
