The event

On Wednesday 19th March 2025, the Auditorium of the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta will host a day of studies dedicated to deepening the Arab-Jewish and Qabbalistic thought and to proposing new interpretative insights.

The figure of Giovan Bernardo De Rossi and the manuscripts of the De Rossi Collection, a nucleus of texts dedicated to biblical, post-biblical, philosophical and qabbalistic study, will be the main theme of the morning meetings.

During the afternoon panel, new interpretative proposals and analyses on Jewish philosophy, medieval Jewish philosophy and Qabbalah will be presented.

The study day is organised by the Parma Section of the Italian Philosophical Society and is dedicated to the memory of Bruno Chiesa and Mauro Zonta, scholars who distinguished themselves for their investigation of Jewish-Arabic thought.
