The Ministry of Culture's "Sunday at the Museum" initiative is back

The event

The Monumental Complex of the Pilotta, the Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist, the Torrechiara Castle and the Archaeological Area of Veleia participate in Domenica al museo, the initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture which, every first Sunday of the month, makes state museums, archaeological parks and places of culture accessible for free.

On Sunday 2nd March 2025, free access to the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta and the institutes belonging to it will be possible according to the following times:

Monumental Complex of the Pilotta: from 9 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission and last ticket issue at 6.00 p.m.)

Ancient Apothecary of Saint John the Evangelist: from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. (last admission at 6.30 p.m.)
NB: Reservations required for 30-minute time slots and maximum capacity of 15 visitors per slot. Reservation at the ticket office of the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta.

Torrechiara Castle: from 11.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (last admission and last ticket issue at 4.30 p.m.)

Archaeological Area of Veleia: from 9.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. (last admission and last ticket issue at 4.00 p.m.)

Information

For security reasons, access to the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta may be suspended for a few minutes in the event of a large crowd

Tickets

Pilotta Monumental Complex
It will still be necessary to collect the free ticket and deposit any bulky bags, backpacks and umbrellas at the ticket office, before entering the Complex.
Reservations are not required.

Antica Spezieria di San Giovanni Evangelista
It will still be necessary to collect the free entrance ticket at the ticket office of the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta, according to the available time slots.

Torrechiara Castle
It will still be necessary to collect the free ticket before entering at the ticket office of the Castle

Archaeological Area of Roman Veleia
It will still be necessary to collect the free ticket before entering at the ticket office of the Archaeological Area

For the first Sunday of the month, it is not possible to purchase tickets online but it is possible to obtain the free ticket for access to the Pilotta Monumental Complex and the Antica Spezieria di San Giovanni Evangelista directly at the ticket office of the Pilotta Monumental Complex also in the days preceding the first Sunday of the month.
