The Ministry of Culture's "Sunday at the Museum" initiative is back

The event

The Pilotta Monumental Complex, the Antica Spezieria di San Giovanni Evangelista, the Torrechiara Castle and Archaeological Area of Veleia are participating in Domenica al museo, the initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture which, on the first Sunday of every month, makes state museums, archaeological parks and cultural sites accessible for free.

On Sunday 5 January 2025, free access to the Pilotta Monumental Complex and its associated institutes will be available according to the following times:

For security reasons, in case of large influx, access to the Pilotta Monumental Complex may be suspended for a few minutes.

Tickets

  • Monumental Complex of the Pilotta
    It will still be necessary to collect the free ticket and deposit any bulky bags, backpacks and umbrellas at the ticket office, before entering the Complex.
    Reservation is not necessary.
  • Antica Spezieria di San Giovanni Evangelista
    It will still be necessary to collect the free entrance ticket at the ticket office of the Monumental Complex of the Pilotta, according to the available time slots.
  • Torrechiara Castle
    It will still be necessary to collect the free ticket before entering at the Castle ticket office
    Archaeological Area of ​​Veleia
    It will still be necessary to collect the free ticket before entering at the ticket office of the Archaeological Area

For the first Sunday of the month, it is not possible to purchase tickets online but it is possible to obtain a free ticket for access to the Pilotta Monumental Complex and the Ancient Spice Shop of San Giovanni Evangelista directly at the ticket office of the Pilotta Monumental Complex even in the days preceding the first Sunday of the month.
